This genuine set of FIVE European Neolithic flint artifacts were collected long ago from various sites in England dating to the Neolithic Period, 4000 - 3000 B.C..  Neolithic artifacts from England are  rare and not typically found on the commercial market.  This specimen set comes from a small private English collection we acquired that was formed back in the late 1960's.  Original collection labels are intact which provide excellent provenance of each town or region where they were originally found.

This set includes various UNIFACIAL SCRAPERS such as END SCRAPERS and SIDE SCRAPERS.  All scrapers are complete and show stunning form, flaking and patina with no modern damage.  Much of the original cortex survives on some of them.    A HIGHLY recommended specimen set with scarce provenance  to diversify display of Neolithic tools of Europe!

The flint has been patinated by thousands of years of exposure to a water environment.  This, combined with sediment and minerals in the hinge fractures are traits only found in authentic specimens as this.  A supreme RARE set of exceptional examples of workmanship of a skilled tool maker from the first farming society of England.  NO REPAIR AND NO RESTORATION
