This CAPSIAN TRADITION arrowhead was found on an exposed African Neolithic site in the Sahara Desert in Northwest Africa. It was masterfully fashioned by African Neolithic humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) between 8,500 and 6,500 years ago. This projectile point was hand-selected based on premium features and condition, from thousands of inferior quality specimens. It is exceptional and complete with rare, delicate and unbroken features such as a needle-sharp tip and a perfect, unbroken tang. Very seldom, do arrowheads of this type, survive undamaged as this one has.
Superb patina and wind sheen can be seen from long-term desert exposure. A top grade collector example that far exceeds the bucketloads of common arrowheads often found and offered for sale. NO MODERN ALTERATIONS, RESTORATION OR REPAIR.
Caution should be exercised when purchasing African stone tools as the majority now sold on the market are either modern forgeries, or re-chipped to improve their appearance. Every item we sell includes a lifetime, unconditional written guarantee of not only authenticity, but condition, as well.
