Product Description
From the Upper Jurassic Period, this is a beautiful prehistoric ocean life fossil group showing fine preserved Perisphinctes species ammonites and a belemnite fossil, which was a type of squid, now extinct. In the natural, original block of matrix are other partial ammonites on the front and back and on the back, a torpedo-shaped belemnite. The central ammonite is complete with very full relief and detail. The ammonite itself protrudes fully off the matrix in the same form as when it was alive over 150 million years ago when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. From a non-commercial deposit and region and suitable for either a diverse fossil collection or for a high impact and unique interior design accent.
