LEONASPIS
TRILOBITE LAB PREPPED -
Mt. Issoumour,
Morocco
DEVONIAN
PERIOD: 395 - 345 million years ago
The
Leonaspis is a beautiful and graceful spiny trilobite from the Devonian
limestone of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Any collection should not
be lacking an example of
this magnificent species. There's no mistaking this wonderful prehistoric
marine creature with its long, sweeping spines and tiny protrusions off
the free cheeks. With only the most minimal restoration to a few
of the shorter trailing spines, this specimen lacks any overall
restoration and is guaranteed authentic with its original, natural limestone matrix. Since all our inventory is
hand-selected to begin with, this specimen was chosen for lab preparation
based on its superb preservation and potential. This example is a top
choice and was carefully micro-blasted with state-of-the-art
equipment to truly bring out the best in the specimen. SUPERB
PRESERVATION AND COLOR, A GEM OF A LEONASPIS!
