TRILOBITE LAB PREPPED
Hamar
Laghdad Formation - Erfoud, Morocco
DEVONIAN
PERIOD: 395 - 345 million years ago
The
Zilchovaspis (Odontochile) trilobites are of a graceful and beautiful design.
With their long genal spines and streamlined pygidium terminating in a
fine point, it can easily be seen why trilobites have been called
"the butterflies of the ancient seas". This
example is in a highly displayable bent back position as if it is
crawling down from a hillside. It is very large at 4.25"!
Nice eye lens detail and overall relief and texture. Very large
matrix block with the trilobite sitting raised up in the middle makes
for a fantastic, substantial display specimen. ity and value of this fine and highly
collectible example. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! A
