With their long genal spines and streamlined pygidium terminating in a fine point, it can easily be seen why trilobites have been called "the butterflies of the ancient seas". This example is in a highly displayable partially enrolled position as it sits bent over the matrix. The entire trilobite has been meticulously lab prepped with micro-abrasive equipment to best expose the delicate detail. To date, this is THE single LARGEST Odontochile we have ever offered!!! It is a MONSTROUS example measuring at 5.4" if straightened! That is an incredibly uncommon size and immeasurably adds to the rarity and value of this fine and highly collectible example.
