The Odontochile hausmani trilobites are of a graceful and beautiful design.  With their long genal spines and streamlined pygidium terminating in a fine point, it can easily be seen why trilobites have been called "the butterflies of the ancient seas".   

This is a very colorful example fully outstretched on its original matrix.  The creature was naturally preserved in a full olive green hue and its eyes are a stunning harvest yellow color.  The matrix features a prominent "bubble" beneath which comes through on the surface in two open areas creating a fascinating display effect.  The entire trilobite has been meticulously lab prepped with micro-abrasive equipment to best expose the delicate detail.  Hallmark pygidial spine is completely exposed and is 100% genuine!  A stunning natural color combo and unique display specimen.
