SCABRISCUTELLUM TRILOBITE Hamar Laghdad Formation - Erfoud, Morocco DEVONIAN PERIOD: 395-345 million years ago
This is a quite rare species of trilobite called Scabriscutellum. It was professionally prepped in our facility here in the U.S. with high-tech micro-abrasive equipment. It is a beautiful specimen and has not been restored in any way. One eye is slightly dinged on the dorsal surface and the other shown above, is PERFECT! Overall, specimen exhibits superb preservation and detail and looks even better in person than in the photos above.
The value is not only in the fact that this is such a rare species but the articulation of this specific example is top notch! Surface area of animal is fully cleaned and visible.
