SCABRISCUTELLUM TRILOBITE Hamar Laghdad Formation - Erfoud, Morocco DEVONIAN PERIOD: 395-345 million years ago
This is a quite rare species of trilobite called Scabriscutellum. It is a fine natural specimen. Interesting articulation shows as if the trilobite is beginning a slow turn to the right. Graceful spines on both sides sweep back and show a nice multi-level articulation. Overall, specimen looks better in person than in the photos above.
