LARGE CAMBROPALLAS
( ANDALUSIANA )
TRILOBITE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE
Anti-Atlas
Mountain Range, South Morocco
LOWER
CAMBRIAN PERIOD: 550 million years ago
From the
Cambrian beds of the Anti-Atlas Region of Southern Morocco, these
positive and negative Cambropallas telesto (Andalusiana) trilobite specimens
are superb display specimens. Each of these are natural
in their respective host rock. Both halves of the rock are
included, the positive
fossil AND the negative side which was split off to reveal the
animal. These are priced much higher than a standard specimen and
generally smaller than such, yet, there is no equal to these in rarity
and quality.
Both
positive and negative host rock are solid and natural.
It is common in the market now to offer Cambropallas geodes. Be
careful and don't be fooled. Most are manufactured with a cheap,
mostly faked trilobite specimen on the bottom and a top half completely
fabricated out of Bondo (automotive car body filler) pressed over the
animal and then shaped to look like a geode half. Here with
these specimens we offer, you have the real thing, 100% solid
limestone sheets with the creature's TOP and BOTTOM impression!
Some of these may possess very minor restoration where the animal was
broken which can be expected in the manner in which they excavate
these. Specimens
like these are becoming incredibly difficult to find. That's why
so many are faked. If you demand the best, here it is! 11"-
