LARGE
BI-COLORED PROETUS TRILOBITE LAB
PREPPED -
Atlas Mountain Range, South Morocco
DEVONIAN
PERIOD: 395 - 345 million years ago
This is a
fine example of Devonian species Proetus granulosus, a member of
the Proetida order of trilobites. The specimen has been meticulously lab
prepped with micro-abrasive equipment to best expose the delicate
detail. The
animal is complete with very high relief as it appears ready to leap off
its original limestone host rock. The granulose detail to the
glabella is further beautified by a natural gold hue in the calcified
shell. This is a high-grade and wonderful specimen that is also
quite large for this type. HIGHLY
AESTHETIC AND LARGE EXAMPLE WITH TOUCHES OF GOLD!
