PARADOXIDES TRILOBITE - Anti-Atlas Mountain Range, South Morocco

CAMBRIAN PERIOD:  543 - 510 million years ago

It is by no means exaggerating to say this will be the finest and rarest form Paradoxides we ever had and will ever have.  Reason being is that there is NO way that you could improve upon this prize specimen.  It is 100% authentic and has only been repaired where the slab broke as is unavoidable during the process of locating the fossil in the outcropping.  Only once have we ever had a specimen that rivals this one and it was a positive and negative impression.  Seeing as the source has practically dried up on ANY quality Paradoxides, this already is a promising investment in natural history.  This fossil was found several years ago and but was part of a private collection by our mining contact himself!  They do not come any better than this.  If you know the rarity of a 100% genuine Paradoxides and to have it be COMPLETE, then you will realize how priceless such an example as this one is.

One thing to also keep in mind is that the trilobite is much better than appears in the images due to the nature of photographing these types.  The close up images show the spectacular detail and rare presence of anatomy that is seldom seen in Paradoxides specimens.  The last image shows the completeness of the very thick (one inch plus) slab rock that the creature was found on to demonstrate there is no fabrication of body parts or recreation of matrix as is typically the case.

Through an exclusive relationship with the prime source of prospectors mining the region, we have been able to consistently offer the finest grade Paradoxides ever seen on the market.  This trilobite is an example of the BEST not only we could offer but the best that has ever been found!  It is the first type we have offered in the natural orange limonite pigment type Paradoxides and happens to be the finest single slab specimen we have ever had.  The pigment you see is completely natural and only a clear protective coating has been applied to the creature to protect the fragile nature of the fossil.

We were extremely fortunate to secure this prize fossil from the collection.  We will be offering one other similar type from that collection in the coming months but it is not in this state of preservation and possesses minor restoration.  We will never come across such a discovery like this again so we strongly urge anyone wanting a choice grade version of Paradoxides from the Sahara to act on this one!  The vast majority of Paradoxides specimens on the market are either heavily restored or completely fabricated.  This specimen is a true rarity and of a type that is NEVER encountered on the public market!

UNHEARD OF CHOICE GRADE PRESERVATION AND INTACTNESS - WHEN ONLY THE BEST WILL DO!
