PARADOXIDES
TRILOBITE - Anti-Atlas
Mountain Range, South
Morocco
CAMBRIAN
PERIOD: 543 - 510 million years ago
This fine
grade example of the giant
Paradoxides trilobite is sure to please any discriminating collector.
The entire body is
completely natural with no restoration. On the cephalon, there is only approximately
4% restoration, limited to the free cheeks and upper portions of the
genal spines. The posterior regions of the genal spines are intact
and there is even a part of a genal spine of ANOTHER Paradoxides at the
bottom of the slab off to the left. This premium grade
trilobite specimen is of the finest we currently offer and is highly
recommended for its uniqueness and rarity. The last photograph
gives the viewer a fantastic close-up of just how super this fossil
is. The photo shows the detail of a completely natural and intact
pygidial region. Everything you see in that photo
is natural with no restoration. The
vast majority of Paradoxides specimens on the market are either heavily
restored or completely fabricated. This specimen is a wonderful
and rare occurrence compared to the commonly seen types that are nothing
more than poorly preserved specimens, horribly restored and
predominantly faked.
