PARADOXIDES TRILOBITE - Anti-Atlas Mountain Range, South Morocco

CAMBRIAN PERIOD:  543 - 510 million years ago

A superbly inflated Paradoxides specimen with remarkable articulation and detail.  On thick slab of original limestone matrix with only approximately 7% restoration, predominantly to the left genal spine and cheek, right eye, and pygidium.  Exceptional and rare detail as shown in the last photo above.  Right genal spine is complete as is most of the rest of the creature.  Very inflated and bulbous snout is genuine and intact.  A specimen that must be seen to be appreciated.

VERY HIGH RELIEF THROUGHOUT AS IF READY TO JUMP OFF ROCK!

14.5" long x 11.5" wide with matrix, creature is 12.25" long x 8.5" wide
