PARADOXIDES NATURAL DOUBLE TRILOBITE BED - Anti-Atlas Mountain Range, South Morocco

When you look at everyone's Paradoxides trilobites for sale, they all look alike after awhile.  Nearly every one is so bashed up or faked that the majority of collectors have rarely seen a real Paradoxides in it's pure natural state.  Well, look no further.  This NATURAL double is on par with any museum display specimen.  This massive, breath-taking example exhibits two naturally occurring massive trilobites just as they had died.  

This genuine plate of two incredible Paradoxides trilobite specimens deserves a cherished place in a museum, corporate office or some very fortunate collector's display case.  Excavated from the Cambrian Beds in the northern Anti-Atlas region of the Sahara Desert, Morocco this multiple specimen showpiece is of the rarest quality.  The majority of Paradoxides trilobites require a great deal of restoration.  Very rarely is the actual limonite staining on the stone where the animal died evident.  Not so with this masterpiece.  Here, you can see the natural coloring dominates the specimen.  Each of these creatures would be considered the finest natural specimens if occurring alone but here, the fact that two are naturally together is an extra special rarity.  

Just about every multiple trilobite bed sold is a composite where several individually occurring specimens are glued together.  Here, you have the real thing!  The valuable tell-tale characteristic is the exposed overlapping genal spines as shown in the third to the last photo.  These spines are 100% natural and one has an area removed to show the other beneath it.  This is all that is needed to authenticate this fossil as being a natural double and is a very important feature of this example.
