LARGE ASAPHUS TRILOBITE LAB PREPPED - Anti-Atlas Mountain Range, South Morocco

This is such a rare specimen and type to acquire.  Regardless of how many trips we make or have our on site contacts search for us we are only finding a few genuine specimens every couple of years!  As if that is not enough, we have meticulously lab-prepped it here in our facility in the United States to ensure the best possible presentation.  

This wonderful and very large Asaphid trilobite is completely natural with no restoration.  The inflation is fantastic and exhibits excellent high relief across the creature.  The majority of the original carapace is present and only a clear preservant has been applied to the fossil.  Original limestone host rock is present and is quite thick and slightly arched making for an incredible display fossil.  The matrix has been blasted smooth and fully cleaned.  This contrasts beautifully with the natural charcoal black hue of the trilobite.  Both eyes are present and fully inflated.  Natural calcite veins run through the rock and continue through the trilobite serving as a easily visible testament to both its originality and its natural association with the host rock upon which it lies. 

This is one of the most impressive specimens to display and certainly a rare and true investment-grade example.  The profound look of this massive trilobite along with it being a very rare and unique type, make for an awe-inspiring display.  Specimens like these are so seldom seen available that we strongly urge any interested party to act on this very exclusive opportunity without delay.
