TOP GRADE UNITED STATES FOSSIL GREAT WHITE SHARK TOOTH

St. Mary's River - Georgia, U.S.A.

MIOCENE to PLIOCENE PERIOD:  15 - 1.81 million years ago

Fossil Great White shark teeth from the U.S.A. of fine grades, are highly uncommon and rare in the Miocene /Pliocene layers.  It seems that during the reign of C. megalodon, C. carcharias was keeping a low profile and for a good reason, Megalodon was much larger with just as bad an attitude if not worse.  Fine grade fossil GREAT WHITE SHARK teeth from the United States are very difficult to find for sale.  The vast majority of fossil Great White Shark teeth are from SOUTH AMERICA and are abundant by the bucket-loads of extremely fine quality.  These teeth are no where near as rare as American fossil teeth of this species and cannot be compared in the least.  Furthermore, there are even many more Megalodon fossil shark teeth found than Great White fossil shark teeth in U.S.A. deposits making such teeth a prize to collect and display when offered for sale.

One of the most famous rare sites for producing fossil shark teeth with stunning color and patterns in the enamel is the St. Mary's River in Georgia, U.S.A..  Collectors that are familiar with the unique set of circumstances regarding this famous deposit will appreciate just exactly what is being offered here.  The iron based minerals in the substrate are responsible for a rare occurrence of spotted patterns in the enamel as well as a reddish hue, on occasion.

This beautiful specimen is without question, a very high grade example.  Asides from the rarity of its U.S.A. provenance instead of South America, it features a reflective chatoyant enamel that cannot be fully appreciated in the photos.  Serrations and tip are deadly sharp as they were the day this shark was alive and tearing apart its prey.  There is no fragmentation and the lustrous and highly reflective crown has fully intact enamel on both sides.  Root is intact.  There is NO REPAIR AND NO RESTORATION.  It is quite rare we collect fine quality Great White fossil shark teeth.  This specimen is one of those rare chances to add a highly unusual and stunning beauty from a rare source.

VERY RARE, FINE GRADE WITH SUPER SHARP TIP AND SERRATIONS - COMPLETE FROM THE U.S.!
