JUVENILE CETIOSAUR TOOTH
- Tegana
Formation - Kem Kem, Morocco
EARLY
CRETACEOUS PERIOD: 145 - 112 million years ago This
is an excellent and rare example of an infant Cetiosaur tooth. The
adult teeth are quite fragile but the juvenile teeth are almost never
found as they are quite delicate. This gorgeous specimen has some
surface erosion from being exposed to the elements and a fine break that
has been repaired but otherwise, is in beautiful shape for such a seldom
seen tooth. Color is deep walnut brown with the tell-tale single
wear facet at the tip and long narrow profile. Juvenile
dinosaur teeth are valuable additions to any fossil dinosaur tooth
collection as the shapes and features can be compared to their adult
counterparts. A
FASCINATING MUST IF YOU COLLECT TEETH FROM THIS DINOSAUR!
