SPINOSAURUS JAW SECTION WITH TOOTH
- Tegana Formation - Kem Kem, Morocco
LATE CRETACEOUS PERIOD: 96
- 66 million years ago Compared
to teeth, complete bones from large carnivorous dinosaurs are a true
fossil rarity. A dinosaur shed thousands of teeth in a lifetime in
the same manner as sharks do but a dinosaur only had a single bone of
each type and position in their skeleton. To find a complete or
near complete specimen is extremely rare! An average condition
bone far exceeds the rarity that a choice grade tooth represents simply
because of the logistics of the possible quantities. Add to
this that you have a genuine jaw section with an ORIGINAL TOOTH STILL
ANCHORED in the bone and you have a true rare and unique specimen! This
genuine fossil jaw with tooth is from a juvenile Spinosaurus. The
bone AND tooth are in rare form, completely white and in excellent
preservation. Most bone from the Kem Kem is stained red from the
sediments. The teeth are also usually dark red to dark
brown. This jaw still has some of the original sand adhered to the
bone and the TOOTH IS
GUARANTEED TO BE GENUINE AND NATURAL AS FOUND ATTACHED TO THE JAW.
This tooth is
complete with no repair and no restoration performed.
It possesses a rare and beautiful faint cream enamel transitioning to
pure white as it near the jaw. The section is from the anterior of
the jaw. Superb detail can still be seen in both the bone and
tooth as shown in the last photos. In
today's market, quality Spinosaurus teeth are rare but a jaw section
with an original tooth still attached is something that we find only
once ever several years at best. This AAA grade specimen is a bargain
at the mere price of a fine quality tooth despite it being far more rare.
A full YEAR of collecting yielded only this one specimen! A
RARE SPINOSAURUS FOSSIL JAW WITH ORIGINAL TOOTH
