PATHOLOGICALLY
DEFORMED SPINOSAURUS
DINOSAUR TOOTH -
Tegana Formation - Kem Kem, Morocco
LATE
CRETACEOUS PERIOD: 96 - 66 million years ago
Looking
like it was folded in on itself in several places, this is one very
interesting pathologically deformed Spinosaurus tooth. One side
shows severe creases with natural wear and feeding damage while the
other side of the tooth exhibits a light crease as it too shows signs of
this bizarre deformity. Pathologically deformed fossils are HIGHLY
desired by both advanced collectors and scientists alike as they offer
up a glimpse of the strange occurrences of "mistakes" in
prehistoric life. We have rarely seen pathological deformities in
dinosaur teeth. It is much more common in shark teeth.
Because of this, we highly recommend this fascinating and exceedingly
rare pathological fossil tooth as perfect representation of such for any
collection. This
wonderful specimen has no restoration and amazingly, is completely
intact with no repair!
