PTEROSAUR TOOTH - Tegana Formation - Kem Kem, Morocco

EARLY CRETACEOUS PERIOD:  145 - 112 million years ago

This PTEROSAUR tooth specimen is an interesting example of natural wear and wonderful enamel.  It is NOT RESTORED OR REPAIRED but features a smooth worn tip from constant spearing and grasping prey.  The characteristic wrinkled enamel is evident and displays a wonderful glossy shine.  Wonderful hot-orange enamel is intact as seen above.
