Creek Formation - Eastern Montana, U.S.A.
LATE
CRETACEOUS PERIOD: 72 - 65 million years ago
Collected
from the famous Hell Creek Formation of Northwestern U.S.A.,
teeth from
this category will all be of the highest quality from one of the most
famous dinosaurs of all time, Triceratops. Each of these
teeth are complete specimens that have been ejected from the dinosaur's
mouth and most will feature natural feeding wear. None will be
broken from modern damage or fragmented but a few may have stabilized
cracks or repair.
All our carefully hand-selected for the best quality and represent an
excellent value. No dinosaur tooth collection should be complete
without one of these top-grade large specimens from the most famous
horned-dinosaur of North America. Pictured above are some typical
examples. It will be our choice as we have more than are shown
but rest assured, you will be getting only a top-grade specimen.
Triceratops is the most
famous of the great horned dinosaurs. This plant-eating group has been found in
the fossil record in greater abundance than all the other varieties.
A full grown Triceratops is estimated to have weighed 11 tons, heavier
than a modern African bull elephant. Its skull was 6.5 feet long
with a pair of brow horns that exceeded 3 feet in length.
