CRETACEOUS PERIOD: 70 - 65 million years ago Legally
collected from private land in
the Late Cretaceous badlands of the Hell Creek Formation, this is a
complete and spectacular third digit of the foot of an Ornithomimus
velox dinosaur. The state of preservation is of the highest
quality with complete mineralization to all four toe phalanges as well
as the stunning dark walnut-colored claw. All
color is 100%
natural and there is NO RESTORATION AND NO REPAIR
to any part of this complete fossil set. The
Ornithomimus had three-toed feet with long slender claws of slight
curvature. The third digit is the outer complete toe of the
dinosaur and the only digit to consist of four phalanges. For
the rarity and uniqueness of this complete articulated Ornithomimus
digit, we cannot recommend it enough as each and all of the bones as
well as the claw are in the absolute finest state of original
preservation. Certainly this will be one of the most impressive
fossil specimens of any advanced collection! A once-in-a-lifetime
