DELTADROMEUS
TOOTH
Tegana Formation of Kem Kem,
Morocco
CRETACEOUS PERIOD: 99 - 93 million years ago
It
is a highly rare occurrence to find ANY sizable carnivorous dinosaur
tooth to be intact. Fortunately, we were able to collect such a
specimen. There is no repair and no restoration on this
beauty. Tooth is very solid and the original honey gold enamel
still retains its sheen and sports a wonderful grain with only minor
blemishes from the elements. Tip is present and only slightly worn
smooth from actual use from the creature. This is a very
fascinating feature and greatly adds to the personality of this
exquisite tooth. This valuable example of this latest dino
discovery is a true treasure and will be a most prized fossil tooth in
any collection. Deltadromeus
agilis was a meat-eating dinosaur believed to be an early offshoot of the therapod
line that led to the development of tyrannosaurs and raptors in North
America.
This
carnosaur is greater than 25 feet in length and is 8 feet
high at the hip. Estimated weight when the creature was alive is 3.5
to 4 tons. Deltadromeus approaches the size of Tyrannosaurus yet,
was a swift and agile hunter.
Do not miss
out on this beautiful specimen of this very rare and highly sought-after new species of
dinosaur while still available.
