(MALM): 154 - 144 million years ago This
stunning multi-colored Perisphinctes species ammonite is from a very
rare and exclusive site in Drugendorf, Germany. The host rock is a
beautiful ivory white with spatterings of orange and espresso hues. The ammonite rests on the
matrix opposite another segment of a larger ammonite of the same species
as shown on the back of the rock in the last image. This highly
unusual and rare example is just the kind of material that collectors
strive for - a beautiful example from a non-commercial and unheard of
location! If you have enough Madagascar ammonites and wish to add
a truly interesting specimen to your collection, then this is a true
